Hi there!
I was so much inactive these days that some of you maybe don't even know who am I Well, I was busy at my new job, but now I'm back, and you can try catching me at #Aposhack channel.
Apophysis 3
It is that time when you can post your thoughts or ideas about new Apophysis. Yes, it is under its way
Be warned though, the new major version number is not for nothing... Apophysis 3 will be a huge step forward.
The most important thing is it will support layers. Every layer can be a flame, a background,
a time-escaped fractal... and probably other types, too. A single design can have as many layers, as you can create.
Isn't it fascinating?
It's also one and the only moment when we can get rid of Delphi and scripting library - finally! It's in C++ with Qt4,
which means it's portable and relatively easy for other coders to mess with it as they like.
The main design is ready, skeleton code is up and running - now I need YOUR thoughts. Note I can't get all of them into
the new Apophysis, but if you have something really interesting, I'm here to listen
Well, that's all for now, my friends
Have a nice day/night!
Peter.

Welcome to hell...
Hi there!
Apophysis 2.09
As the time of expiration of Apophysis 2.08 beta 2 has come, here's a
brand new release of Apophysis 2.09.
What's new?
+ Added favourite variations
+ In variables list there're displayed only used ones
+ Not used variations are greyed out
+ Thumbnails in flames list
+ "Symmetry" parameter renamed to "Color speed"
+ Added checking XML for unrecognized variation/variable values
- 64-bit renderer removed
+ Many various fixes
One thing to keep in mind though: it's still in a beta state, so
expect some crashes from time to time... Besides, I'm still working on
few things, but it just had to be release
New journal stuff...
Hi there!
Apophysis 2.08 beta 2
Of course all of you already know there's a new Apophysis version out :)
It's mainly a bug-fix release, although there're some little additions:
Editor window: a new Xaos option: "Rebuild xaos links" - intended to restore xaos links when deleting "linked" transforms
Adjust window: gamma_threshold control - used to make low-density & noisy areas of the fractal less visible
Render window: "Low priority" checkbox - allows to control priority of the multi-threaded rendering process
As always, you can download it at SourceForge.net.

Apophysis 2.08 is out!
Hi there!
Apophysis 2.08
OK.... it's been a long time ;) and still I don't have any time for Apo development yet :( I hope it will change in a month or two...
Still, Zueuk is working on it a bit, and he just released a new version today, Apophysis 2.08, which, across some fixes, adds a new big functionality: chaos control. You can read on his journal.
As always, you can download this new version at SourceForge.net.
Software
I'm getting many questions from all of you, what tools do I use for my works? Well, it's not quite easy to answer, it depends on a particular picture. But I'll try to give you some hints:
